Witchcraft in the Cul-de-Sac: Practicing Magic in Suburbia

"If you think all witches dwell in charming cottages deep in the woods, think again. Witchcraft in the Cul-de-Sac: Practicing Magic in Suburbia by Kanani Soleil is the essential handbook for the modern witch—one who might juggle school drop-offs, a full-time job, and a life in the ’burbs, all while honing her craft. Packed with practical wisdom, spellwork, formulas, divination techniques, and rituals, this book is the perfect witchy guide - no matter where you live. Think of it as a magical recipe box tucked right beside the blender on any kitchen counter—familiar, accessible, and filled with the potential to supercharge your life." ~ Theresa Reed, author of The Cards You're Dealt - How to Deal When Life Gets Real: A Tarot Guidebook.

My Story

Kanani  Soleil (she/her) is a Pacific Northwest girl at heart. She was born with a desire to learn the secrets of the universe and a fascination with different theologies. She actively sought out different paths in an effort to find her way. At twenty, she embraced Witchcraft.

She is a former board President of a Portland, OR, non-profit Pagan organization with a goal of building community. She was one of the co-hosts on  “That Witch Life podcast” and is the author of her upcoming book "Witchcraft in the Cul-De-Sac: Practicing Magic in Suburbia. She is currently hosting her own "Suburban Witch Lady podcast," which can be found on all streaming platforms. Her practice involves candle Magick and reading Tarot. Her favorite phrase is “If you can’t stir with the big girls, stay away from the cauldron."

She is a proud mother to the two souls whose spirits were with her for years, a daughter and a son who look and act just as they did in her visions.
